Overcoming Analysis Paralysis in Fitness: Start Your Journey Today

Hey there Auburn / Opelika fitness enthusiast!

I read a story this morning that at first I thought was CRAZY, but then I realized just how many people get stuck in this hole….

This lady (whom we’ll call Katie) was talking about how at the beginning of 2023, she decided she was going to take action about her health.

She felt tired all the time, her clothes weren’t fitting anymore, and she was afraid to go on a beach trip with her kids because she was embarrassed about how she looked.

So at the beginning of 2023, she bought a few books to get a better understanding of lifting weights. She spent the entire year reading these books, gathering information on how to start a program.

She mentioned feeling “completely overwhelmed” at how much there was to learn, and felt too intimidated to start any sort of program….

Almost 18 months later, and she still has yet to start a program.

Let me tell you a fun fact…. I’ve been coaching for 11 years, and still don’t know nearly all there is to know about weightlifting.

Do I think I have a pretty good understanding of it? Absolutely. But if I were to have waited to start until I was a MASTER? Well, I would have never started in the first place.

I KNOW how overwhelming the gym can be (hell, it’s one of the main reasons we built our studios with such a private layout).

But I also know that perfection cannot be the enemy of action. GOOD cannot be the enemy of GREAT.

You don’t need to have a crazy, off-the-wall workout program. You don’t need to understand every intimate detail about the human body, or how weight training works. You don’t even need a gym.

You just need to take action. Action creates motivation, and motivation therefore re-creates action…. but it starts with action.

Keep moving… Stay moving… Stay healthy!

In good health,
